Hi there, Unity kids! The first one to read this and send me an email at donnamagic@aol.com telling me "I read the blog and love the snacks!" gets a surprise reward! The first one to try these recipes gets healthier! : )
Rev. Donna
How about some quick, easy...and healthy...snack ideas! Something to nibble on when you get home from school. Ask your parents to let you try these yummy snacks.
Olive Kabobs
Chop lowfat string cheese into chunks. Alternate olives (any type) and string cheese on a small skewer. Stand them in a glass or cup and refrigerate. Great afterschool snack.
Olive’s (technically a vegetable) are a great source of Vitamin E. Their dark color means they are full of phytonutrients. The good, healthy fat in olives helps to protect cells from damage and improve heart health.
Peanut Butter Balls
1 cup oats
1/2 cup Honey
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup powdered milk
1/4 cup ground flax (optional)
chocolate chips (optional)
Mix Together and roll into balls
